I use this model everyday at work. That covers tig, mig, and stick. Very cheap buy for $25. I’ve bought $225 hoods and I see only one difference. The man on the sticker. Only downfall is the pivot screws. They come loose time to time. This is common in most hoods.

When I purchased the welding equipment originally I opted for a house brand helmet. I am a beginner welder with some experience but not frequently enough to get good at it. I thought that my skills were not as good as I remembered because the consistency of weld quality was poor and was frustrating to me. I perceived that if I could see better when welding that maybe I could up my game. I researched some and went with the Antra brand. Not the most expensive by a long shot, but still highly rated. I thought, for the price why not give it a try and if it didn’t prove to be what it said, I could return it. Well, I am extremely happy with the improvement in my weld quality. As the story goes, its like night and day. The clear view of the work when actually welding is remarkable. Maybe by spending a lot more you can get even better viewing quality, but for me this equipment is great in that arena.

Look No Further – GREAT Helmet!

I really, REALLY like this helmet!!! I’ve struggled with another ‘big name’ brand for several years and didn’t know how bad it was until I got this one. After many days of internet searching, I decided on this one since I just couldn’t justify forking out $150+ for other brands. After using it for a couple of weeks, I cannot imagine what the more expensive helmets can offer that this one cannot.

Worth the money

Very clear view. Have a C4 Lens in my Lincoln helmet which cost much more. Not sure I can say either is better than the other, just the color of the tint is different. Head gear leaves much to be desired on this Antra, but I’m not wearing it all day so I can live with it given the price to have a spare here at the house for project so I don’t have to bring my Lincoln home each night.

Great helmet for the money!

Great helmet. Dims very quickly and I can adjust the darkness. Comes with three replacement front screens and one replacement rear. Yes the plastic is not rigid, but you’re not playing football in it… after using this I wouldn’t drop $300 on a high end model. I wouldn’t even drop $75 for something slightly nicer.

This is a nice home garage/workshop helmet

I’ve only used this one weekend so far andbut I like it. It feels fairly well made for a home garage/workshop, though I don’t think it would hold up well in a commercial/industrial setting. The view port is much larger than the Harbor Freight model I have been using for the last few years. I also really like that it allows you to set it up for plasma/torch cutting. My only complaint is the head band runs a little on the small side. I wear a hat size of 7.5 to 7 3/4 and this just barely fits adjusted all the way out to the widest setting.

For the price I cant complain. Performs quick and reliably with my 120V Clarke Flux Core welder. Clarity is not as good as my passive blue tinted glass. Fits my melon head good (7 7/8″) but I cant wear a think welding cap under it, I also have long hair so this should fit anyone.
