The Forney 87101 Heavy Duty Acetylene Regulator is a versatile Victor style acetylene regulator for heavy duty applications. It has easy to read dual scale gauges with nearly unbreakable screw-on lenses. This regulator is a replacement used in Forney 01711, "Commander" Oxy-Acetylene Welding Kits and will work with similar Victor style torch sets. A Quality Made Acetylene Gauge!

 on April 24, 2015
By Gene
I mounted the acetylene gauge on the tank. Hooked up the torches to the gauge. Turned on the gas and checked for leaks with soapy water. Then I screwed the T-bar regulator until I felt the slightest resistance. I open the gas valve on the torch and screwed in the T-bar until the pressure hit 7lbs. About half the oxygen pressure. When I turned off the torch the pressure went up to 8-9 lbs. I turned the gas on the torch, lit it and the gauges worked perfectly!
